Spotting

I'm so nervous but trying to stay as positive as possible. I had a little brown spotting yesterday and today. Only a little in my underwear and when I wiped. Today after sitting on the potty for a bit trying to go I had a little red spotting l. That scared the crap out of me. The midwife said some bleeding can be normal. Anyone else experiencing this? I haven't been able to go number 2 today to my tummy feels a little crampy. I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow!
