9 months or 10 months?

Which do you believe to be more accurate? 
That we are pregnant for 9 months? Or 10 months?

Keep in mind that "full term" is 38-40 weeks pregnant

But there are 52 weeks in a year, and 12 months in a year, so that would leave 10-12weeks to make up 2 months. Which would mean there is 35-42 days in those two months.  Clearly it can't be 10 months.  At 40 weeks you are 9.2 months pregnant.  40weeksx7 days in a week=280days.  280days/30.4 days in month(which I got by 365/12) = 9.2months.

Why do people always assume that 40 weeks is ten months?? That would mean that every month had four weeks in it which (I hope y'all know) is not true...

Sept-Oct: 1 month
Oct-Nov: 2 month
Nov-Dec: 3 month
Dec- Jan: 4 month
Jan-Feb: 5 month
Feb-Mar: 6 month
Mar-Apr: 7 month
Apr- May: 8 month 
May- Jun: 9 month...

Due today :)...  It spaned througg 10 months but pregnacy only was 9 months..

40 weeks gestation includes the first two weeks of your cycle before you conceived.  I think 9 months is usually more accurate.

Both. It's 10 lunar months or nine calendar months, since they are longer than 28 days. And because 40 weeks is only an estimate, it's kindof accurate even in reverse sometimes.
