Did you/do you plan to work out while pregnant?

Yes! I work out daily. 
It's so so so important for mom and baby.

There are tons of benefits including healthier infant, quicker recovery, and easier labor.

I do 1 hour of cardio per day and 30 minutes of weights. I love spin class, swimming, yoga, walking. I still wakeboard and surf a little and I watch what I eat.

So far, 27 weeks in, I have gained 10 pounds and my son is right on target and I feel good most days.

Yep! I did a little cardio and a lot of yoga and stretching. It helped with the pain tremendously! I've started to slowly get back to my work out routine, but it's a lot harder with a new born haha.

I am a registered yoga teacher. So I had all intentions on continuing my yoga practice during pregnancy. It turned out that I was so drained after my full-time job (teaching k-3 special needs kids) in my first trimester that I never went anymore. Second trimester I had great intentions, but the couple of times I took class it REALLY bothered me that I couldn't do my favorite poses bc I couldn't lay on my belly. So I just got disheartened and didn't try anymore. I did continue to walk, but now in my 3rd trimester here I am, my feet swollen and a bone spur on my left foot so I can't wear tennis shoes without pain. So yeah. Now that school is out back to yin yoga, which is more long stretches than a "workout"...disappointed that I didn't get more exercise, but chasing kids with Autism around all day should have counted for something :)

Does regular sex count? Since that was my "workout" before getting pregnant? We kept up with it for the most part...

I intended to. Then I actually got pregnant and now at 27 weeks I'm so tired and sore that the idea of working out seems laughable.

Lol yea I intended to as I was very active with a work out routine b4 pregnancy but then I got pregnant and yea I was sick then the fatigue now I'm just to fat I still walk alot but that's about it I've put on 25 lbs in 23 weeks mostly in my belly and it most definitely isn't comfortable and the thing is I don't eat any different really I figure I'll get back on track after baby

I did when I was pregnant with my son. 6 days a week, and if I ever slacked off, my ankles would start to swell. That was all the incentive I needed.

It is great to have good habits, but I would just say then again, don't feel bad if you have a hard time keeping them up. I know it makes me feel guilty that I went from yoga 5-6 days a week to maybe 1 super easy class. I see people who workout on here and are super fit, and it makes me feel bad, but honestly I had no idea how tired I would be and how hard it would be on my body!
