I don't think it's a black or white situation.  I would need to know all the details but also the fact that why didn't he tell you? I understand being afraid you would leave but finding out other ways is much worse!

A charge for sexual offense is a blanket charge for lots of different circumstances.  I would want to know what he did then make my decision off of that.

No. If it was something as small as having consensual sex in public do you think he would hide that? It has to be something huge.

My husband has a sexual assault charge. In not what you think. My husband had sex with a 16 yo when he was 17. Both still in high school. She wrote about it in her diary afterwards. Her parents read it and filed charges. Now its stuck with him forever. He didn't tell me when we first started dating because he was afraid I would run.

Totally depends on the case- a know someone who had to register as a sex offender for something sooooo rediculous. Keep and open mind but also be safe! Ask him to research it or see the charge so you can know he's being 100% honest

My ex didn't tell me he had on his record for 2nd degree sexually assault of a minor when we first got together. And then a month into he told me he was 18 and she was 16 and he didn't know and her mom didn't like him and called the police.BUT then I found out the truth that really he was 19 and she was 14 and he did know and got her pregnant and her mom called the cops..at first it didn't bother me until I realized that he was cheating on me with 14,15 and 16 year old and we were in our 20s..then I couldn't do it anymore that got gross to me

Who would want to say they are labeled a sexual predator? There are people that make dumb decisions when they are young and it ruins their life. 
A boy I went to school with was charged with statutory rape bc he was 17 and the girl was 14. Her and her cousin lied to him saying she was 16. When she got caught skipping school she told her parents she had sex. They pressed charges. She ruined his life bc she lied. He is now a sex offender bc of her lie. 
If it was something like that (and there was proof that it was something like that) then I wouldn't get upset.
