Wedding advice/ideas?

Hi guys! 
So I have always found the tradition of the dad giving away his daughter somewhat.... creepy...
I always wanted my grandmother to walk me down the aisle because her marriage with my grandfather resembles so much of that with my fiance's (met when they were young and have been together until he died) sort of like a "good luck" type of thing. She also raised me when my mother kicked me out at 14. 
However... She unfortunately passed before this could happen, before I was even engaged. 
I'm wondering if you guys have any ideas on how to still incoporate her in "walking me down the aisle". 
Also, how I could explain this idea to my father and maybe include him in a different way? I don't know, personal choices I guess but just the thought of him "giving me" like cattle to my fiancé seems very weird, and I'm not his to "give". I don't want to hurt his feelings though. :/

I made charms to tie on my bouquet of my brother, father, and grandfather (all passed) to symbolize them walking me down the aisle.

I don't like the idea of being given away either. Would you consider walking down the aisle on you own holding a picture of your nan?

This is the boutonniere pin my husband wore.. he was having emotional issues with his father not being there so I had this made for him and he wore it as we got married.

I find lots I'd wedding traditions weird, especially being given away. I am an adult living my own life, I've never been anyone's property to be handed off. 
I walked myself, proud to be giving myself to my husband.
I like the charms on the bouquet idea to keep her with you too. If you have anything of hers to wear (jewellery/shawl) that could be nice too.
It's your wedding do it your way. 
Have your dad give a message during the ceremony or just escort you to the door and then walk to his seat first. In sure if you explain how you feel about it to him he will understand and want too make your day special for you.

You could make a video of her in memory so you can watch it while you walk down the aisle and let your dad walk you while have a song that reminds you of her playing
