So has anyone eles been told there is a cyst on there babys brain? 🙏😞💔

I'm still freaking out and I have another ultrasound tommorrow, and there are going to try to get the facial features to see if down syndrome might be a possibility as well because the chance is higher now for some reason? But I'm freaking out what if the cyst doesn't go away or cause hydrocephalus? I'm so scared and need some experiences! Also does anyone have a downs syndrome child? What was it like? What is going to be different with her than a normal child? I will love her so much either way! I have been told by everyone that if anyone could handle a handicapped child it would be me! But please if anyone has experience this please respond

My first had the cysts at his anatomy scan. I had another scan four weeks later and they were gone...he's a perfectly healthy two year old. I was told with my baby girl at her scan that she had them on both sides of her brain. I go in two weeks for another scan to make sure they are gone. My doctors have both told me that it is actually very normal to see these and that it is part of the way the brain develops. A bigger indicator is if your baby has these cysts plus other issues such as heart problems, lung issues etc. if nothing else was found I wouldn't be too worried because they do usually go away. My doctor even said 99% of the time they go away. With my first I cried non stop for four weeks because I was so freaked out but this time I know a little more about them and am just trying to be patient.

I was told that at 20 weeks. I referred to a high risk doctor who did an ultrasound at 21 weeks. He said its very common to see that and it usually clears up by 30 weeks. Also, I had two sets of blood test done. One at 16 weeks and the other at 20 weeks and they both came back normal for no indication of downs. I go back to the high risk down in a few weeks. I pray daily for my baby girl as well. Did you have your blood testing done?

Have you been referred to a maternal fetal specialist yet? Momma just breathe and try to keep calm untill you get better results! How far along are you? My step daughter has hydrocephalus and a Vp shunt in her brain. She is 7. Her complications came after contracting menagitis in the hospital. 
If you have already been screened for downs than your chances still could be low,  and girls have less risk of downs. 
This cyst could be nothing serious and it could be problematic at some point. Hold your self together and try and get as much info from your OB and specialist doctors. Not sure what else I can tell you based off the info you posted but my heart is with you and I wish you and baby the absolute best.

I'm only 19 weeks and 4 day !! My test came back positive for spina bifida and I'm currently waiting on an Anatomy scan . My other 3 pregnancies have never had that come back like that and I'm freaking out :(

My girl had one at 20 week scan. Went back last week at 24 and it's gone. When not combined with any other factors (clenched fists, heart and brain defects, small size, club feet) my Dr told me the chance my baby had Trusomy 18 was 1/500.

My son 3 years old now,  had one at 20 weeks.  He is perfectly healthly. I wish they didn't mention it until it's actually confirmed. I was petrified as a ftm

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and was told at my anatomy scan my son has a cyst in his brain. I was scheduled for an ultrasound two weeks later and the cyst was gone. My ob said that the more important thing is growth. If the baby is growing appropriately the chance of genetic defect decreases. He says we could do an amniocentesis to check but that is high risk. I chose to wait till his birth but I feel as though his chance of a trisomy is low. I was told cysts are not something to worry about if they find nothing else wrong.

This happened to me with my last pregnancy. We got the extra testing done to rule out Down syndrome but the cyst cleared on its own and test proved nothing was wrong. Apparently, cysts are VERY common and heal on their own. Try not to worry momma. Easier said then done. I remember panicking. My little one was born perfectly healthy. ❤️

My niece had it during her ultrasound and she does not have any abnormalities.
