When did you or plan to transfer your little one from an infant car seat to an convertible car seat?

FTM of a 4 month old and dont know when is the right rime to transfer LO to a convertible car seat.

I started with a convertible. Got one that will work for her from birth till she moves to a booster. I HATE those infant seats that get lugged around. So I just didn't get one.

None of the above. I was planning on switching when he is able to sit up unassisted so when we go anywhere like the grocery store he is able to sit in the cart or sit in the stroller without slouching. Probably around 6 months

My sons 4 months and he's now in the graco contender 65 convertible car seat rear facing. He absolutely hated the infant car seat cause it's so reclined. He likes this car seat much better. And on consumer reports its in the top 5 rated for safety so I feel better having him in there anyway.

I switched my oldest when the weather got nicer. It just worked out that he was about 10 months when spring hit. I kept him in the carrier for the convenience of not having to put a coat on him. I just had a blanket on the carrier.

I have no idea when I'm switching to convertible this time. I have twins, but we're moving into a house with a garage. Not sure yet.

I'm pregnant again, so I will move my LO to a convertible seat a month then or so before our next one is due. They are going to be a little over 11 months apart. I was a convertible seat that does rear facing till she is closer to two though I think.

The reason I ask is because my LO HATES being in his car seat for an extended period of time and we end up purchasing a Maclean quest since they go from birth up and its collapsible. He loves it but its hard since I keep in moving him to the car seat when we are in the car. I was wonder since the convertible car seat looks like it has more space would he like that more and I can finally go out and do things 😁

I switched my son at 8 months or so. But then I actually had to buy a new car seat. This time I'll probably switch my daughter earlier since I already have a convertible and the. Buy my son a new seat. Because it's cheaper that way.
