Am I out? Lots of tears over here 😢

I started having mild cramping 8-9dpo, nothing major just barely noticeable. Then 11dpo I started having brown discharge when I wiped, on and off. Today at 12dpo and a couple days before AF, still having brown discharge, just enough to use a panty liner... Thought implantation spotting! But caved, took a test at 6pm after holding my pee for 4 hours and it was BFN.. I broke down and cried, I totally thought this was it. Am I onto next month because I've started brownish bleeding and still have bfn?
