Is anyone else dealing with gestational diabetes ?

I failed my glucose test by 7 points. Not on medication but going to nutritional classes l. First time mom and wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with it before

I was sad too when I was first diagnosed with it and then I just had to embrace it because I know following the diet will make me and baby healthy... the only thing that scares me is that it was caught so late and the pregnancy is almost over so I hope to God there hasn't been a lot of damage done to my son...... because it feels like my fault even though it's not.... gestational diabetes has nothing to do with hereditary traits your weight what you eat anything it's how the baby's hormones and the placenta is blocking the way your body is digesting carbs and sugars and your insulin ...a lot of people had to educate me and help me see that... I don't need to blame myself so much but I do need to follow the diet and mine is so out of control so when I go to my education class on Thursday I'm just going to ask them to put me on straight insulin because if I've been this way the whole time I can't imagine what little man is going through in there so hopefully God will watch over our babies and they'll be ok

I failed my 1 hr glucose test with both my pregnancies, I passed the 3 hr glucose test both times I now have to retake the 1 hr one since my dr made me take it at 20 weeks I failed with like 40 points I think and I had to take the 3 hr which I passed

Yeah I actually just had my education session today for it since I am newly diagnosed. 
At first I was upset, but I take it as a wake up call, because I was drinking a lot of fizzy and unhealthy foods. My mum has type 2 diabetes diet controlled so I have a genetic component to it, but because I have had gestational diabetes now, I'm 70% at risk of getting type 2 in 15 years. 
So just going to make sure I don't allow myself to get overweight and have a generally healthy diet after I have baby and hopefully I can delay getting it, if I end up getting it at all.
Pretty strict diet for pregnancy though, but that's okay, I want a healthy baby and healthy mummy.

I wasn't diagnosed with GD, but they said I have a glucose intolerance. I guess that is a sign my body is developing GD. They put me on the same diet plan, but are not requiring that I monitor my glucose levels. Diabetes runs in my family and I'm always busy so I don't eat and exercise as I should. Definitely a wake up call.
