We steered clear of any names on the Top 100 list but it was pretty easy since most weren't our style.

We decided on Oliver a while back after a teen girl we love tried to talk us into Olivia-we already had a girl name picked out but fell in love with Oliver. We didn't know a single person who had a kid with that name and thought we were doing our own thing. Now it's turning into one of the most popular names of the year it seems. It bugged me a when I first realized that, but we both still love the name and still don't know any kids personally who also have it. Plus, there are tons of girls my age named Lauren and it really hasn't effected my life in the slightest, so ah well.

I want my son to have a k name but his dad doesn't. Both our boys have q names as does he and both of his brothers. I really wanted a girl and it sucks that i cant get what i want and he is trying to take the only thing i have left.

I have been scared of choosing anything popular but the new unique names sound very made up and not like names at all. Even if they are unique now, if they are pretty I figure they are bound to become popular anyway
