When is it ok to start milk?

My son will be one next month. He is breastfeed and will occasionally drink breast milk from a bottle. We are going camping the week before his birthday. I was thinking maybe I could start whole milk a little earlier (of course still nurse him, mostly at bed time). Anyone think this is okay offer should I just wait before introducing him to while milk? Tia

We switched right before 12 months and he has 4oz 4oz 6oz 6oz. You have to really monitor how much you give them. Sometimes people do a mixture of formula and milk to get them used to it but we switched direct and he was fine.

All of my pediatricians have advised me to wait till exactly a year. I tried to push for earlier cause my formulas were so expensive but they insisted and I complied, I can't remember the reason for the rigidity on that topic. Ring up your Dr real quick , that should be an easy question for them😄
