Nexplanon AND the pill?

Like I said in my previous post, I just got the implant last week, but my family planning doctor told me that I need to use another form of birth control for up to three weeks to be on the safe side while my body gets used to it. She recommended using a condom, but I was curious if I can take my remaining pills at the same time instead? Is that safe?

When I got nexplanon my doctor told me to continue taking the pill for another week just to make sure. It's fine to take the pill with nexplanon short term at least.

Why did you get the implant if you like the pill and want to continue taking the pill?
