Where I'm from and experience ive witnessed when i was still in school, the schools here would randomly search lockers. They was able to go through all your things without your knowledge because even though the locker was assigned to you, it was still property of the school. I didn't agree with it all the way. Yes I understand the locker was the schools so them opening and checking for something out of the ordinary was fine but the problem I had was when they would open up someone book bag or their purse and go through their things without a warrent. Yes it was school locker but the school did not buy the bags or anything in the bags. We were forced to leave all our belongings in the locker. So my question for the poll is when a student has a closed book bag or a closed purse or something in a school locker should the school be able to open it and look through it? Like I said, I don't think they should be able to open up someones personal belongings without a warent.
