How did you tell someone you were dating that you were/are pregnant?

I'm totally curious because I have to tell the guy I've been dating the I'm pregnant and I'm so nervous about his reaction I'm stressing out....

So please I would love to hear your stories about how you told the guy you were dating, how long you had been dating when you found out, how long you waited after you found out you were pregnant to tell him, and how it all worked out for you.

Let me explain I've been with a guy for a few months I'm 28 if you want to judge you can take your attitude and stereotypes somewhere else there is no such thing as 100% protection from getting pregnant if you are having sex I don't care what anyone says....I was on the pill and I have medical issues where doctors didn't thinkin could get pregnant. Well yesterday I got my positive I haven't seen him yet he's out of town with his dad on a fishing trip and honestly this isn't something I want to tell him over a phone call or text I want to tell him face to face. I know there are other people out there who got pregnant while dating and not married I was curious how they told their SO and the reaction. I'm trying to figure out how I want to tell him. No we weren't TTC we like sex and everyone has needs we are human when your with someone it happens.

I told him right after I took the test he was at work so I texted him to "call me!!!" And when he did I told him I wasn't really feeling the telling him face to face. over the phone was better for me  just who I am. We've been together 4 years

I was dating my partner for a year and a half and he wasn't at home and wasn't answering his phone when I did the test so I texted him, and he never wanted kids and was so angry (not gonna sugar coat it) it was a pretty hard time for me. But I'm still with him and we now have a 4 month old little boy and couldn't be happier :)

My guy and I had been dating for only a month when we had a false alarm. He admitted to me that he was kinda bummed and the thought of a baby with me was exciting (he had never wanted a kid before). The next month I told him I thought I was, and when I took him home we got a pregnancy test and found out together. He was thrilled and immediately told his parents. I waited till I was almost 20 weeks to tell mine lol.

I just told him over the phone, he was at work and I was off. He already knew my period may be late. He was like ok, cool. I was suppose to wait until that Friday to test and I just couldn't wait! Before I knew it he had called everyone he knew to tell the news! he was so excited. Good luck (:

He totally deserves to know, even if the baby isn't his. for some people, dating someone with kids is a deal breaker. It definitely was for me when I was dating. I would let him know sooner than later because it's not fair to let him get attached to you under false pretenses
