Who controls finances in your household?

Please explain why and how you determined who was in control.

Me because he likes to spend money we don't have.

I am the budgeter! I deal with all the money because my husband doesn't know most of our stuff and I'm just really good with money and planning. He told me he's glad he has me because without me he wouldn't pay bills on time.

My husband  because he's a human calculator and if we get into a bond he knows how to work it out. And i have no problem with it.

Teamwork! We both handle together! He makes all of the money while I say home with the kids; bit we do this together!

I have  a better memory when it comes to bills and expense. He doesn't really care for money and has a bad credit score (although mine took a hit when we moved in together). It's not like I don't involve him in the bills. We sit down, talk and budget and use a joint account for all bills to come out of so I'm not nagging him for money or having to front all the money up and see if he remembers to pay me back.

I pay the mortgage. I pay all the other bills w his debit or CC. He has auto payments for the other bills (our investment property mortgage. Car, his CC..) it works for us
