I knew my water was going to break!!
So this is my Natural unmedicated birth story!
My whole pregnancy was amazing! My belly was so big, everyone thought I would go into labor early, but nope. It just kept on growing! My due date, June 18th, came and went. On June 16th I started losing some of my mucus plug. That continued for a week and on June 23rd at 3:30am I was in bed. I was sleeping on my right side and I rolled over to my left side. As I rolled, I heard a pop!! Literally heard a pop! My husband heard it too! So I get out of bed and I stand there thinking water was going to gush out, but it didn't. I then go use the restroom and as soon as I sit on the toilet, boom! All of this water just leaves my body! I just sat there and heard it falling into the toilet. I yelled for my husband and I call the hospital. They said to come on in and so we gather our things and we started heading to the hospital. Once I sat in the car and realized that THIS IS HAPPENING, I just start bawling! I was scared, excited, happy, nervous, all of the above. Well I get there and I'm 1cm dilated. They told me to walk around to get things rolling. So I walk around for like 45 minutes and I go back to my room and I was at 4cm. At this point he pain was so bad, I didn't want to stand anymore so I labored in bed. I just closed my eyes and let the contractions roll by. 13 hours later I'm at 9.5cm and I get stuck there for 2 hours. Now, at this point the contractions are back to back and stronger than ever! I had to pee so bad, and I didn't want a vatheter so I ask to use the restroom. A nurse went in with me just in case something happened. I did that and laid back down in bed when my body just takes over and starts pushing on its own! I can't even explain how it happens, but your body just pushes when it's ready!! The nurse tells me to "stop pushing, you aren't ready yet!" And I said"I can't help it!! It's time, I want to push!" And so the doctor rushes in and checks me and says that I'm ready! I then got so nervous about pushing because I didn't know if I would do it right or not. I push for 40 minutes and I start losing hope and losing strength. I remember telling my husband that I can't do this, and he tells me that I can and that I'm so close! The doctor asks me if I want a mirror and I agree. She told me to reach down and feel her head, I did and I kid you not, I got this burst of energy that I was lacking. About 5 minutes later I push and I reach down and pull my baby girl out of my body. The first thing I noticed were her big round eyes. The second thing that I notice is how BIG she is! My husband cut the cord and I pulled her up to my chest. I gave her out first kiss and cried and cried tears of joy! I had a first degree tear so the doctor was stitching me up. They took my baby to go weigh her and she weighed 9 lbs 4 oz and 21.5 in long!! When I heard that I said "what!!!??" So my husband brought her over to me and I snuggled her. I literally didn't let anybody hold her until the next day! Not even my husband, I felt that I waits so long and went past my due date! I had a painful 16 hours of labor and pushed her out of my body, that I deserved to hog her all to myself! We named her Francesca. She is the most precious gift ever, the love of my life! We just celebrated her 1st birthday and I still relive these moments like it just happened. Everyone's birth story is different and amazing, I hope you enjoyed reading mine.
