MC after strong heartbeat @6+4?

Question

Went in last thurs at 6+4, the dr said my ultrasound looked great and the baby was developing on track and had a heartbeat of 120bpm.

Does the chance of miscarriage go down after seeing a strong heartbeat?

It drops but you're never completely out of the woods. Once you are out of the first trimester you are down to a 1-2% chance for the remainder of your pregnancy.

We lost our baby earlier this year after seeing a strong heartbeat, the gestational sac was small and stopped growing.

Yes it goes down.  At least when I had my first us at 8 weeks we heard the heartbeat and saw the baby and my doctor told me that I had less than 5% chance of miscarriage.  But maybe it was because we heard the heartbeat? I don't know but I'm 19 weeks now... But I think since they actually saw your baby and everything looked great your chance most likely decreased a little!

Honestly you can misscarry at anytime. This is not meant to scare you at all. Its just the reality of life, but my friend had a dr appointment at 17 weeks and everything seemed fine. Heartbeat was 151 and 2 days later it stopped without a reason they could find. Every pregnancy is different. Remember to not stress to much over misscarrying though. Stress alone is bad for you and baby, but also your motherly instincts will carry you through. My daughter's heart rate was all over but she came out fine. And with this one it dropped from 150 at 11 weeks to 119 at 12 weeks and I'm now 16 weeks. So really just depends on baby and you! Good luck hun! ❤
