Do you really need hubby to stay in the hospital after baby is born?

He was with me all day and night then had to go home and feed the dog. He was even up with me when little man was on the 2 hour schedule. Best daddy/ husband ever!

I had a c section, followed by surgery while they had me open. So I definitely needed him with me for those 4 days in the hospital. I could barely get out of bed, so I was very lucky to have him there helping with our daughter so much. But each situation is different.

I don't/didn't need him there, but he wants to be there. And I appreciated him being there. I had to stay an extra night last time and he stayed with me, it the most uncomfortable bed in the world.

I made mine stay. It was nice to have him there since he relaxes me. At night he was useless. But when he falls asleep he's asleep. I wish I slept like that.

The first baby i needed him there with me all night every night (was there for a week) the second time he was there for the delivery and a few hours after but then went home to be with r son and my mom came to stay with me. Next time he will be there for the delivery then back home to care for r older children :) i dont need him there but i love that he WANTS to be there. With r second baby i had to tell him to go home and sleep lol he just wanted to stay but i said no

Hubby left about an hour after LO was born so he could be there when big brother woke up and take him to school. I was the one who said go. All was well and I was nursing so it worked for us.

He should be there for delivery and maybe a couple of hours after but once I have the baby I rather have my mom stay with me she knows more lol. And plus hubby needs to go home to help with our two daughters.

Well I didn't necessarily need it to be my husband to stay with me, but I def wanted someone to be there Coz I think it can get a bit daunting and also a bit lonely if ur all by urself. I would have been happy if it was my hubby or my mum actually, so it wasn't so much that I felt he HAD to be there to share responsibility or anything like that. It was just that the "bed" they provided for a guest was basically the sofa and my mum has back problems and also I didn't feel right waking her up in the night...whereas I don't mind throwing something at my hubby when I need to wake him 😉

It is such an amazing time for them too.  Now if they really need to be at work - so be it.  I hope my husband has some time to spend with his new little one and bond with him/her as well ☺️
