Superstition

In my culture, everyone follows one thing: never buy anything until the baby is born safely, otherwise you prepare an "iron cradle" for the baby. I know it's related to high rates of infant mortality but, come on, it's 21st century already! It makes me nervous not to prepare a single onesie or diaper, and then someone else will have to do shopping and my boyfriend will buy cheap stuff because I won't be next to him. Drives me mad!
