Hot needle like pain

So I got on birth control on the 23rd of this month (June) had been having wild unprotected sex everyday before I got it (Drs said pregnancy test was negative so they went on with the depo provera) and we've had wild unprotected sex the day I got the shot and everyday after. Yesterday night I was laughing and I went to sit up and felt this hot needle of pain rise from my right above my pelvis to right under my ribs and I felt it again later on in the night while I was laughing....I remembers these pains of whenni was pregnant with my first child but they were much farther in my pregnancy.
