I was friends with my boyfriend for 3 years before dating him. Have now been together 6!

My ex & I were friends for years before getting together. It wasnt necessarily a good thing because in the end we were more like friends with benefits than an actual couple. & Now its no longer appropriate to be friends considering our history. So really we should've just stayed friends from the beginning.

Been friends since 2009 and started dating in 2014 when I went off to college. I swear I love this man. We know each other like a book cover to cover. I feel like it's important to have a friendship before relationship because if you were to ever break up you will always have a friendship to fall back on. Especially if you ended on good terms! 😊😊
