Food in baby's lungs?

Question

We took our daughter to the ENT doc and they want to further investigate to see if there is food going into her lungs. If there is, she may need surgery. I hate to be so worried but I am. Has anybody experienced this?

My best friends son ate too much Halloween candy and vomited and aspirated and a teeny tiny piece of a peanut ended up in his lungs.
I think she told me they got it out with a scope tool or something not actual surgery.

I am a respiratory therapist. They can most likely remove it with a scope. No incisions or anything. It's good to get it cleared up so it doesn't cause a pneumonia! Good luck love.
