We saved for it. We knew that I was going to stay home once we had kids so we started to live on one income to see how it would work later and saved my whole income monthly. About $3000 per month. Ivf for us cost $17,000 that year for 1 iui, 1 fresh cycle and 1 frozen cycle to finally get our daughter. Try to cut everything you can (eating out, vacation etc) and live in one income. Then continue to do that and save through out your pregnancy to pay off all other debts

So you couldn't afford it, but you went in debt for it. How do you support 3 kids and pay on your debts when both of you have low paying jobs? That must be really stressful.

I'm 22 and we did IVF. My husband and I both work fast food. It costed us 20,000 all up front. We took out loans.
