When are you guys installing car seats?

I read you're not suppose to have the car seat in until you are on the way to the hospital. The reason for it was if for some reason you wreck your car, you'd be forced to buy a new one. Apparently it gets marked on police reports? Who knows...

Our base is installed because I'm high risk and only 3 days from when I delivered my last baby. With a normal pregnancy I install the base at 36 weeks.

I hoping that my husband will clean my car this weekend so we can install the baby seat. I will be 34 weeks. However at my last doc appt baby was measuring 35 weeks and I was only 32, so I want to make sure I have it ahead of time.

We're waiting till 37 weeks because it will mean rearranging my toddler and I'm putting that off.

I plan to do it next week at 35 weeks. I'm having twins so it will take up the whole back seat so I don't want to do it to early, but also early enough just incase I have them a bit early.

We should soon just to take it to get it checked. We'll probably just leave the base in the car until we're ready for the seat.

I am 32+3 and it is in our Van but not installed yet bc we have two babies already and I don't want to crawl back to the third row till I have to haha 😂 belly too big!
