Engagement ring sizing: Zales

I am just recently engaged and unfortunately my ring is about 1 size too big. My fiancé said he bought the ring from Zales and that we just have to take it in to get resized. Being the worrier I am I was looking up reviews and how long it would take and there are terrible reviews! People saying it took them a month, their diamonds got stolen, had to send it back multiple and even having their diamonds fall out. Now I'm not sure what we should do. I want it to fit me perfectly but I'm also terrified something will happen to it. Has anyone else had problems? Any recommendations? Thanks ladies.
