I've had a positive for 3 days now and am hoping it's starting to go away now. I know it means that the egg is having a hard time releasing when they stay positive so long...

I'm not sure who told you the egg is having a hard time releasing but that doesn't sound correct. Some women have lh surge for a few days, its fine. You're actually supposed to stop testing after the first positive but yes this is still positive
