shoulder dystocia

Jo • lost my son in march 2015 @ 18 wks. 😢 now pregnant with my rainbow baby! 🌈 due 7/11! ✨
today my doctor told me that i will have to get a c-section due to my small frame and how big my baby is. i am only 5'1 and my baby boy is already 8lbs. they are concerned if i have him vaginally his collarbone or shoulder may break (shoulder dystocia.) my c-section is scheduled for july 8th. i will be 39 weeks and 5 days. when the doctor first told me i was upset bc i wanted to do a vaginal delivery but i will do anything for my bub. has anyone ever dealt with this?
