At my baby shower we are doing books instead of cards. We want a book with the gift instead of a card with an inscription in it from the person who gave it to us. I plan to start reading to my daughter while she's still in the womb and continue it even after she's born. I want her to love reading as much as I do (I could read for hours, I prefer reading over watching the tv.) I might be crazy for believing this but I believe that reading to your child will help them develop a better vocabulary and help them excel in school. My favorite book is Good night moon and I also really want Stellaluna for her (her name is Stella). Are there any other moms like me out there?
