Period after birth?

I'm 7 weeks pp and exclusively breastfeeding. I had my follow up appointment just a few days ago. I noticed some spotting, but I assumed it was from the pelvic exam at my appointment. Today, there was a little more brighter blood compared to yesterday. Could this be my period? Is it too soon considering I'm breastfeeding?

I got my first pp period at 8 weeks. If it is your period, be prepared for HEAVY bleeding. I normally used light/regular tampons but ended up needing super for my first period pp. I didnt even bleed that bad after i gave birth. Sorry, i know its a bit TMI but i wish i would have know how bad it was gonna be.

No, some women get there period right away, breastfeeding or not. Completely normal

Breastfeeding can bring on your period earlier according to my OB.
