Breaks ? *Update

What does a break mean to you? Like your SO says we need a break for a few days which includes zero contact.

Update 02.07.2016: it's been a week we went for a drive but his friend was there so there wasn't much room for conversation about us. And the same friend, he's been stuck up his ads since this happened. I can't sleep I'm crying at any given moment, and I don't eat because when I do I get sick.

Means that your SO wants to have guilt free sex with another person. Breaks for a few days are just a way for someone to cheat but still be able to say "It wasn't cheating, we were on a break".

To me, there are no beaks. If you're on a "break" it is a free pass to act like you're not dating: therefore you're not dating. I feel like we are all adults now: you're in or you're out, none of this back and forth.

For me it meant, "I want to break up with you for real, but I'm too much of a coward to just do it." Breaks are never a good sign.
