What did you do to get clomid?

Did you have to see a obgyn? Tell me how the process went. Was there testing first? Please help :)

My obgyn had me track my temps for two months and then follow up with her. She said I wasn't ovulating so after trying for almost 9 months she started me in clomid. I had done blood work a few months earlier so they didn't need to repeat that.

I saw my obgyn and told her we had been trying on our own for 7 months with no luck and that I hadn't gotten a period in 7 months. She had me track my cycle and do provera for a month to see if I would ovulate and when I didn't, she started me on clomid
