Birth control for breastfeeding moms 😊

So I had my 6 week postpartum appoint yesterday and my OBGYN recommend depo  provera, I'm still not sure about this option because with my past experience using this it took a while to leave my system and a while to conceive. Also I'm concerned if this will effect my milk supply in anyway as I am exclusively breastfeeding. Any moms with experience with this type of birth control ?while breastfeeding or any other types you may recommend... I would greatly appreciate 😀💕
