Let me start off by saying, I have never had a normal period. When I first got it, at 12 years old, aunt flow would only visit once every few months. Eventually my mum decided to put me on the pill to regulate my cycle and balance my horrible moods. Except it didn't do that. It made it worse and I just stopped taking it altogether. So I talked to my doctor at the time and she nonchalantly put me on the depo shot instead. By this time I was starting high school. Well let me tell you, that depo shot is one of the worst things ever created. It made me have my period NONSTOP ALL SCHOOL YEAR. I continued to get the shot until January of the next year, (I was about 16 at this point), despite the problems I was having. And like the pill, I just stopped getting it. However, my period did not change. I continued to bleed nonstop for a good year or so, maybe more. And then I'd go through months with no period whatsoever (which I honestly welcomed.) Then my neverending period would return once again. My doctor reassured me that it was entirely normal and it would sort itself out. Well, now I'm 20 going on 21 and it has not indeed "sorted itself out." I am still bleed much longer than any healthy woman should, and now I'm experiencing pain in my uterus/vagina as well. It's not like normal cramps, it's a sharp stabbing pain that occurs randomly in what feels like the far back wall of my vag, where it meets the uterus. I don't know. It's not the same feeling as a cramp and it feels much too low. If you have read this far, I am impressed and you have my gratitude. Advice would be so appreciated. Thank you.
