Pain with nexplanon

I got nexplanon 6 days ago and ever since It was implanted it will randomly shoot pain through my arm. It's hurt so bad I've cried in pain a couple of time. And sometimes it itches also. Is that normal? Will it go away? Should I go back to the doctors?
