Zika in AZ?

Hoping to ease my stress ...I'm flying to AZ tomorrow to visit my dad, and just found out that have reported some mosquitos with zika in AZ. has anyone else heard that? Anyone in AZ have tips for how they are protecting themselves?

Visit the cdc website. There are no reports of infected mosquitos in the entire United States.

Arizona has the breed of mosquitos that carries the virus, but none of the mosquitos that have been tested actually carry the virus. No reported cases as of now (I live in a Phx suburb)

I live in AZ. We don't have any zika mosquitos here. However, just as a precaution, I've been using deet repellant.

According to my wife's OB and the web, no cases have been reported in the US other than those who contracted it OUTSIDE of the US.

I'd still throw on the bug spray though. My wife wears it whenever she goes out.

A lot of cases I've heard of for the US were not actually acquired IN the US. I live in texas. My OB told me do not travel to south texas. So my MIL is aware (I believe) that we will not be visiting her during my pregnancy. She lives in Corpus.

I live 5 hours away and haven't heard anything. Most cases are women going out of country to affected places. It's so dry here and we're in a desert so not much water or grass for mosquitos to be nesting. Just constant dust storms.
