Too late to change dr's?

I'm going to be 36 weeks on Sunday, my baby is measuring 40 weeks already. I had an appointment today, and my dr won't even check an ultrasound weight because she says she will not take him before my scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. I've never carried a baby that long due to size, I've only gone 38. I don't feel like she's listening to me at all! Is it too late to get a different dr?

Yea if it's 40 weeks on your fundal height that is normal. And your doctor seems like a good doctor.  The weight they tell you through ultrasound is just an estimate and can be way off. My SIL was told her daughter was 10lbs 12oz and was born the next day via c-section and was only 4lbs 11oz and spent 3 weeks in the NICU.

How is it that you're measuring 40 weeks? Fundal height? It's completely unreliable. It's great that your doctor won't take your baby early. My cousin was taken early via C-section. His lungs weren't ready, he had moments without oxygen and it was completely avoidable. Listen to your doctor.

It's not to late if you can find a doc that will take you. However what she is saying sounds normal. If your doing a c section I don't see a reason to take the baby early

It depends if another dr will take u. Cuz I was 37 weeks and I changed my dr only cuz he accepted me some Drs won't accept cuz it's too far along but I would definitely call to see if any dr can :)
