Implanon yes or no?

Question

Does anyone have the arm birth control? I think it's called Implanon. If so what is it like? All the reviews i have read have not been good. Depression, anxiety and low sex drive.

I absolutely loved it when I  had it. I plan on getting it again once I am able to go back on birth control. I didnt have negative side effects other than not having my period for the first year I had it (which I dont consider to be a negative 😊). I do have a very small scar on my arm from when it was removed and put in. Do Not watch the youtube videos on getting it removed! The few I watched were done by inexperienced people so they made it much worse.

I had it twice. The first time I had no problems with it. I had it removed then to become pregnant. After delivery I had another one an this time it freaked me out.  I gained 20 lbs, no sex drive, moody ... I still stuck with it for 3 years because there is nothing out there as effective. I had it removed in January and am 6 weeks pregnant now. (Intended)
Won't try it again though. I feel that my body tolerated it quite well when I was younger. Now I'm 36.

I got at after the iud came out twice and had Gianed around 60lbs. I ended up weighing more then whe I gave birth. And took a year after it was or to finally start loosing the weight.

I've heard very few people have good things to say about it. Most people I know have gotten it removed. 
Although it isn't the same for everyone though so you may just have to try it out to really see. Some people won't have a good experience  with it until after a year. Some people say you just have to give it time.
Personally, I don't want to give it time or risk it not working out well so I'm just sticking with the progesterone only pill.

I do not recommend it. I gained alot of weight   periods were off would have a regular 6-7 days then out of nowhere started again and would last 2-3 weeks  when i went in to have it removed doc found out that it was bent instead of being straight

I had it for 3 years after having my first daughter n I loved it I had no problems whatsoever n I got pregnant 6 months after having it removed. I plan on getting it again after this one too.

My sister had to have hers removed because it was causing a bad infection and she got pregnant with it in because it moved in her arm.

My sister has had it for 7 years now and she swears by it. She doesn't have any weird side effects unless it's time to change it and she doesn't have any periods. I wanted to get it too but my doctor says bc of my weight I might gain a lot and my hormones might go crazy. So I'm a little scared.

I've heard pretty much nothing good about that one! I refused to even try it because I know people personally who had a ton of problems with it, especially weight gain.
