Scheduled c-section- does it feel like cheating?

I have a scheduled c section a week from today and although I'm super excited, it feels like I'm cheating! I'm a FTM and the baby is breech....my version was unsuccessful today.  For some reason, it just feels like I'm missing a woman's right of passage potentially not going into labor. Am I wrong/crazy to feel like this? Anyone else with scheduled c sections who can help boost my positivity?

Oh honey trust me it's not cheating! I'm having a repeat on the 13th with my second breech little. My first was footling breech and this girl is transverse. Trust me when I say, a c section, while not awful, isn't a walk in the park either. You will earn your mama stripes either way!

No it's def not cheating! I was a ftm and had an emergency csection. If there's nothing you can do about it then wear that csection scar with pride. It is what's best for baby and you and the end of the day. I think every mom wants to go through a vaginal birth but God often has other plans. Blessings and baby dust to you love. Stay strong and pray that God turns baby before the csection day! 😘

I understand how you feel. My doctor even discussed this with me. Although I've had previous vaginal births. My baby is breech and I have a scheduled section next week. I was hoping this birth would be different. That this time there would be no interventions, no induction, I would get to labor in the tub etc. but instead, I have to have surgery.

The bright side is, it's planned. I can have everything prepared at home, I can arrange for someone to professionally clean the house while I'm in the hospital, baby will be born quickly and it's the safest way for baby! It will be okay! Birth is birth. The goal is to get baby out safely :)
