Is it wrong to expect marriage from a man you're trying to have a child with?

I'm ttc with my boyfriend of 2 years. I really want to get married and he says he does too but he's also said a baby is more of a commitment than marriage. I've gone through a lot to try to have a baby (HSG, clomid, Drs appointments) and I just feel like if I'm willing to give him my body to carry his child, that he should be willing to commit to me. Is it wrong of me to expect this?
