Vestibulodynia

A few years ago I had a sudden onset of vestibulodynia which demanded surgery. After recovery I have been completely fine. However, my anxiety of that life altering pain occurring post vaginal birth is starting to make me seriously consider an elective c-section. Are there any others who have previously suffered from this condition and gone on to have not only a successful vaginal birth but also a recovery without the condition relapsing? I meet with my OB next Monday but wanted some perspective.
