I knew I had it in 2012 and finally went to be diagnosed in 2013. I went gluten free for a year and stopped taking birth control so I could monitor my symptoms. I always assumed we'd adopt (which we were totally fine with) but ended up losing enough weight and being healthy enough to conceive without intervention. We're due in September.
