Did you tell family you were/are trying to conceive?

I'm so torn on this one, my mum and I are so close, I'd love to tell her we are trying but I don't think it's the smartest idea as I think it's gonna take us a while. We've been trying for 6 months so far. What did you do and do you regret that decision? And if you told people who did you tell?

"Have you thought about this....?Will you do that...? What about this..? Are you sure you're ready? Is this really what you want right now? How's it looking this month" Eugh no, can hear the constant nagging already

It's hilarious, when my hubby would say "we are trying to have a baby" to anyone, like clients etc, they would say something like "oh, how's it going?" and he would say "one pump at a time!" so akward 😂

My family knows I have had one MC, but my sister is the only person that knows about the other three. My husband's family doesn't know about any of it, as far as I know. My sister will occasionally send me articles about new breakthroughs in recurrent pregnancy loss, but she mostly waits for me to bring it up. I've only disclosed everything to her because I knew she would be sensitive to my feelings and respect my wishes. My advice to you is to only disclose to people if you know what their reaction will be. This is why we haven't told his family. They are very involved in everything, even when it's unwanted. It is nice to have support, but I cannot stand prying. Ultimately you know your family best, so go with your gut.

I told my best friend and my boss. And when I hit that second line, that's exactly who I told first even though it was super early.

I said yes? But its more of a 'it depends' really....

XD If you feel they would be suppotive in  a way not overstepping bounds, :) it'd be great to have someone to call about questions. Moms can be great about that!

But if you feel people would step out of line, :) you are not obligated to tell them everything.

I did. But I won't next time. It's very irritating to have it come up as a topic of conversation. "How're you? How's work? Are you pregnant?" Ahhh! Having to verbally say no over and over when you're trying is annoying and borderline stressful.

Not the first time but we conceived the same month so didn't really have the chance to but miscarried our baby at almost 16 weeks. And people ask us now if we are going to try again so we tell them we are. It's been almost 5 months now since the Mc. Test in a day!
