Should couples move in together before marriage?

I'm getting married in 13 days and have been living with my fiancé for 2 years.

I couldn't imagine taking this next step without knowing what he was truly like to live with first.

Other people prefer marriage first, good for them but it's not for me.

I think so. Living with someone is a million times different than just dating them. You learn everything about them. The good, the bad, the annoying. You see them sick, you see them when they first wake up. You learn their ticks. Also when you live with each other first, it shows you just how they live. That way you don't get married and then realize he's a slob who would just clean up before you came over.

Statistically the divorce rate is higher in people who lived together first. I do tho k every couple is different. Hubby and I didn't (we actually couldn't because he had to live in a dorm first year) but it's working out great for us!

I learn about people by observing them, not just by listening to them tell me the version of themselves they want me to hear so yes!  I advocate living with first!  You can tell more about a persons character by watching them in their normal routine!

Mmmm..... In the past I lived with an ex, and it wasn't bad but it was one of those things where at the time I didn't have anywhere else to go. In my current relationship neither one of us wants to move in together until we're married. Personally, I think if you have kids or one of you is homeless or some other circumstances, than living together before marriage might be ok. Other than that, I want to enjoy my freedom for as long as it's mine 😂
