Painful sex ??

Okay so me and my bf have been dating for 3 years & just a year or so ago I finally let him take my virginity... Growing up I've always been nervous to have sex bc I was scared of how much it would hurt. So anyways he took my virginity but after that I wasn't able to see him as much bc I had to move in with my dad.. Now every time we have sex it's painful. (We don't see each other a lot so it's not every day or even week more like maybe once a month sadly & sometimes less than that!!) It's not bc I'm not wet enough down there or anything bc trust me I am 😂💦 BUT it hurts. I have to suck it up & just take it. But afterwards & during it hurts so much. Is it bc I don't have sex often or maybe I'm making myself scared by thinking of the possible pain ?? I really don't know. Sometimes it does feel good but mostly it doesn't.. Plz comment & give me opinions on what to do 😩🙄 & im 17 I'll be 18 in a few months so def old enough to to be having sex... Lol
