Delivery Plan Questions
Some stuff I've read online suggested some things to request as far as post-delivery. I think they sound legit, but my husband (constantly playing devil's advocate) thinks it's probably all BS except for delaying clamping umbilical cord. Can anybody tell me whether these things are legitimately beneficial to baby/mom. Obviously I'm a ftm.
-After delivery can I do kangaroo care, skin to skin baby on mom's chest right after an uncomplicated deliver.
-Don't bathe baby for 24 hours to allow vernix to be absorbed into baby's skin.
-Delaying cord clamping until 3 min's after delivery
-No pacifiers until breastfeeding is established
