Bath??

I'm 4 weeks postpartum this coming Thursday. When do you think I can take a bath ?  I miss it!  Just want to soak for a few minutes when she sleeps! Has anyone taken a bath yet? Am I supposed to wait 6 weeks? Btw, haven't really looked down there yet! Scared but nothing is painful anymore. Lol

I was told by my doctor that you can take a bath as soon as you get home. It will ease the pain and help you heal. Just make sure to clean your tub

I took baths on the hospital and was told to take them 2-3 times per day to help heal. I use a sitz bath product I got on Amazon, it comes in this little yellow tub but it's heavenly. I have 4th degree tearing so it's been helping a lot with my stitches and healing. I'm 4 weeks pp today and still sore but I'm definitely getting better every day.

I took a bath 2 days after birth. Had stitches too. Felt really good to take a bath. Put some Epsom salt in it.

I got advised to take baths as it soothed the pain from my stitches down below, i bathed the day i got home from hospital😊

I didn't even know you're not allowed to take a bath for a certain period of time? I haven't as I don't really enjoy baths, but interesting.

Your instructed to not take a bath bc your cervix is still open for a long time after giving birth and when you bathe you sit in your own "filth" and it can cause an infection. If you are going to take a bath then make it "quick" sit for just a bit 5ish minutes. Get a little relaxed then get out.

I had a bath 2 days pp. I was barely bleeding but had horrible sciatica pain still and just felt horrible. I wasn't able to comfortably have a bath from 6m on so I was craving a nice bath. I just made sure to clean my tub fully before hand and I also added Epsom salts.
