Birthing gown, yay or nay?

Question

I'm unsure if I should order a birthing gown. I like the idea that they unsnap easily for skin to skin, which I plan on doing lots of and easy access for breastfeeding. But Im still undecided of I want to get one. Anybody buy one, and what's your reasoning?

This is my third birth and I bought a gown for this one. With my oldest, I just wore a sports bra, I was naked other than that and got dressed in my own clothes within hours of delivery. I didn't even put the hospital gown on. 
 With my second, I wore the hospital gown and hated it. It made me feel like a house, fell off my shoulders constantly, and I look back at pictures and hate how I looked in it. I'm a small person (5'3 and 150lbs at delivery) and those gowns are meant to fit pregnant women much, much larger than me. I changed into yoga pants and a tshirt as soon as they'd let me. 
So this time I found one made in Canada that doubles as a maternity or nursing maxi dress and is guaranteed to wash clean or they'll replace it free. For me, it's worth the expense because I've tried the hospital gown and didn't like it.

I'm planning on it. The gowns my hospital uses are so uncomfortable and ill fitting. I know I'm going to be miserable so I at least want to be comfortable in what I'm wearing. I found one for $40 so if it gets gross I can just throw it away.
