I woke up at 2 am to use the restroom and as I was getting in to bed, I felt a gush and thought my water broke, so we went to the hospital and I tested negative. On the way home I started having contractions, but I didn't want to go in again until I was sure. Three hours later contractions were 2 mins apart and very painful. When we got to the hospital I was dilated to a 7! It turns out my water had broken after all. They got me to a private room quickly, and Insent my husband to drop off our son at a friends nearby, but ended up feeling the urge to push about 5 mins after he left, and I ended up having our son while he was gone! It only took 45 mins from getting to the hospital until I was holding my son! I missed out on an epidural and I am so sad! Natural birth is not my thing at all.
