TERRIFIED to continue pumping.
Breastfeeding has been such a battle for me and my baby. The LC made me cry multiple times for not being able to get her to latch, even with a shield. I've been exclusively pumping for 2 of the 3.5 weeks since she was born. In the short time, I've gotten milk blisters, friction blisters, awful pain from a batch latch.
Now, every time I pump my left side I get the most awful shooting pains all the way throughout go my nipple and into my breast. I literally end up curled in a ball in tears. It continues for hours, the only relief I get is if I manually pump to express it. I don't understand what it could possibly be.
Now my supply is suffering greatly because I'm so terrified to pump, I've cut it down to 3-4 times a day. I just can't take the pain.
Does anyone know what it could be? Any tips to handle pain? I've tried heat, ice packs, massage, warm shower, nipple creams, you name it! 😞
