How much are you pumping?

I'm EBF but pumping to get a supply for when I go back to work, and I'm wondering if I'm producing significantly less than I should. For those of you who are pumping, how many ounces are you getting per breast per pumping session? And what kind of pumping schedule do you have? When's the best time to pump?

I was worried about making sure I build a stash prior to going back to work which I do have over 200 Oz's stored pumping 2 to 4oz from both breast combined and I would pump once or twice a day at whatever time I could pump however I havent used it BC now that I'm back at work I pump at least 20 oz (2 sessions)  while at work and another 6 to 10 oz (1session)  when I get home.  So don't beat urself up about building a stash BC trust when u go back to work.  My daughter is 9 weeks and I pump enough in one day for 2 days worth of bottles for daycare

I exclusively pump and get about 5 off of each side and pump every 5 hours a total of 10ish is every 5 hours. However I definitely have an over production. When I was bf and pumping I would pump once in early morning and once after baby went to sleep. I think I tried to wait like 30 minutes after bf baby to pump. When I was doing that I'd get like 2-4 oz TOTAL. The more you pump the more you'll produce. At work I stick to a very strict pumping schedule and would pump when I woke up then about an hour later at work. So 6 am, 7:30am, 12pm, 3pm, then bc I was exclusively pumping once before bedtime. Don't be afraid to supplement with a little formula until you get the hang and stash built up.

I pump 5 times a day for 20 minutes. I'm exclusively pumping. I pump anywhere from 6oz-9oz each session.

It's really different for everyone as some woman don't even respond to a pump. Normal pump output is 2-4oz total from BOTH breasts. So don't let another moms pump out put discourage you. Always be proud of you what you can get, cause like I said, it really is different for everyone. With that being said, my right breast is the bread winner. I can get (depending on time of day and if I pump before/during or after a feeding) anywhere between 2-5oz. My left, again, depending on certain factors, between 1-3oz. I try to pump first thing in the morning, and each time LO nurses as I seem to get more that way from the multiple let downs.

I pump after we put my son down at night and again when he wakes up in the middle of the night around 2:30am (hubs gives a bottle of breast milk while I pump). I usually get about 8 ounces total per session so 16 ounces a day. I take Fenugreek every day, and try to either have Mother Milk tea, a dark beer, or a lactation smoothie every day. Do the best you can but try not to put too much pressure on yourself. I found that balancing breast feeding and pumping was/is the biggest stressor of new motherhood for me.

I pump after every single feeding never skip unless we are out and about. I pump around 28 oz a day some days more depending on my supply at the time. My son usually nurses every 3-4 hrs. I literally have a freezer full between my freezer stock and the stock at my moms.

I exclusively pump. I don't worry about what I pump per breast but just the output at the end of the day. I pump 43-45oz per day. I'm 4 months pp and pump 6 times a day 330am (4-5oz), 530am (4-5oz), 2pm(16-19oz), 6pm (6-7oz), 9pm (4-5oz) and 1140pm (3-4oz). The best time to pump the middle of the night pump when your milk making hormones are the highest it will help keep supply up.

I'm having the same issue.  I'm EBF but pumping since I go back to work in 2 weeks. I pump once in the morning and once at night (while my hubby feeds him a bottle).  I only get 2 oz total in the morning and usually 5 oz total at night.  I'm really stressed about not having enough supply when I go back to work.  I have about 70 oz stock piled but he'll kill that fast.

I get between 2 oz and 4 oz total each time I pump (I try to pump once a day). I'm not too worried about having a huge stash because I'll be pumping at work to send to daycare the next day.
